Parks: Donna Legare
reported that Parks and Recreation asked BHNA to donate $100 to plant
perennials at the Armistead Road entrance to McCord Park. Donna will coordinate with Brenda Platt to
make sure that the plants are not invasive.
The board approved this expenditure.
Newsletter: Tom
Vickers reported that Target Copy did the mail merge and distribution of the
newsletter which significantly reduced workload for BHNA.
CONA: Melissa Jacoby
and Susan Fleming will attend the CONA annual meeting and reception on May
10.
Old Business: The
members agreed that Spring Fest was the best ever. Tom Schulte will call Mayor Marks’ office as
he has not received a reply to his April 13 letter about Trescott Drive
addresses. Tom spoke with TPD Officer
Delonna Hartley who will ask Officer Andy Berentsen to provide monthly email
updates about neighborhood crimes, similar to those provided to Lafayette Park
and Midtown neighborhood residents.
Resident Susan Fleming sent the board photos of potholes on Mitchell
Avenue near the Winthrop Park parking areas.
Tom Schulte provided her with appropriate city contacts. Donna Legare reported that the memorial tree
honoring Vickie Schwartz’s son had been planted at Kate Sullivan School. Donna read the thank you letter to BHNA from
the Schwartz family.
New Business: Tom
Schulte reported that candidates Rick Minor and Stephen Hogge would like to
attend a BHNA board meeting. There were
no objections.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
at 8:00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Melissa Jacoby, Secretary
